1. Training updates:

This Saturday(6 Mar) training venue will be at the Indoor Sports Hall instead of the school hall.

2. National Table Tennis matches (only for school team members)
9 Mar (Tues):
2pm VS C boys against RI; 3.45pm VS B boys against HCI

11 Mar (Thurs):
2pm VS C boys against RVH; 3.45pm VS B boys against St. Gabriel

23 Mar (Tues):
2pm VS C boys against MSH; 3.45pm VS B boys against Presbyterian High

National matches venue will be at Paya Lebar Methodist Girls' School.

For all matches, the main 7 players are to leave lessons at 11.20pm. The rest to be dismissed at 12.30pm. Bus leaves at 12.40pm.

Note:All school team players are to ensure that they have their names on their bat or to place the bat in a bag with their name.

Also, do ensure no speedy glue is used and the bat is of the right thickness.

Sec 3 boys: I am still awaiting Mr Maran's reply for the camp. Do NOT submit your passports yet. Just submit the edusave form/money.

3. EZ TT results

We played hard and managed to get 4th for both B and C divisons losing to AHS in the 3rd/4th match.

I would need all sec 3s, captains & vice-captains to help set up the hall at 1.30pm for table tennis trial.

Also, I need all Captains & Vice-captains to go to every sec 1 class on Thursday 8 Jan to inform the sec 1s of the table tennis trial on Friday 9 Jan at 1.45pm at the school hall. They are to be in PE attire and to bring their bats.

training updates in Nov 09

1) Cancellation of Saturday trainings on selected days

As you are aware that trainings are every Mondays(10am-1pm), Thursdays(10am-1pm) and Saturdays(9am-12pm) till 5 dec.
However, there will be NO Saturday trainings on 14 Nov, 21 Nov and 28 Nov as the indoor sports hall is booked for other activities.

2) VS Open House

14 Nov (tomorrow) is the VS open house.
Selected boys are asked to come and help out.
Pls be punctual and come in your table tennis jerseys.

3) Internal Competition for School Team selection

The internal competition will commence on 23 Nov(Mon).

Captains and Vice-captains, pls get the results table ready.

4) Trainings dates in December
Will be released next week.

Training updates

28 Oct (wed):
Friendly match with Fuhua Secondary for selected boys.
You should have been notified by now.
Change of timing: meet 1.20pm at the HOSTEL CANTEEN. Bus will leave at 1.30pm.
Transport will be provided back to VS. We will reach VS at 5pm.
Be in the black table tennis jersey or VS PE-attire.

31 Oct (sat): 9am -12pm at ISH

From next week onwards(2 Nov - 21 Nov):

trainings will be on Mondays(2, 9, 16 Nov) , Thursdays (5, 12, 19 Nov) and Saturdays (7, 14, 21 Nov).

Mondays & Thursdays: 10am -1pm

Saturdays: 9am -12pm.

Venue at ISH except after 16 Nov which we will shift back to school hall.

The training dates after 21 Nov will be sent to you once the venues are confirmed. In the meanwhile, pls update us your travel plans so that we can account for your absence for training.

Do come for all trainings as we are preparing for the Zonal & National competitions for next year. You would need to improve your skills so as to be selected for the school team.

There will be an internal competition for ALL commencing on the 3rd week of Nov for the 12 positions (B & C div) for the school team for next year's competition.

Mar Hols Training 2009

March Holidays training schedule is as follows:
Mon & Wed: 8.30am - 10am
Please be punctual as training won't be extended due to full booking of the hall.

EZ match results & Trainings for weeks 8 & 9 (23 Feb - 8 Mar)

1) EZ match results
semi-finals: C div against CCHS, we lost 1-3.
B div against CCHS, we lost 0-3.

Finals: C div against DHS, we won 3-2 (thanks to Ziyi, our star player)
B div against DHS, we won 3-1.

So we won 2nd runner-up for both divisions. well done and now we look forward to the Nationals in March.

Table Tennis updates for 19-24 Jan

Hi all,

1) Trainings for 19-24 Jan
There will be training this Wednesday 2.45pm - 4.45pm at the school hall. Please be punctual.
There will also be training on Friday 11am -1pm and Saturday 8.30am-1030am.

2) Fixtures for the East Zone Table Tennis Championship 2009 is out.
B Boys- Group A: CCHS, DS, NAS, PRS & SHSS
Group B: VS, AHS, DHS, PRC

C boys- Group A: CCHS, AHS, PRC, DS
Group B: DHS, VS, NAS & PRS

Competitions will commence 2 Feb (Mon) at Loyang Sec Sch.
Both divisons will play concurrently. session 1: 2pm-3.30pm, session 2: 4pm-5.30pm
Note: No speed glue is to be used for all matches this year.

Quick update on Trainings

Hi boys,

Hope you have picked up new skills and have improved tremendously in preparation for next year's competitions.

1) The B & C division team would be out by next week (latest Friday). We would try to confirm the top 10, the other 2 would be on probation. However, for the top 12 players, attendance and active participation is expected. Failure to do so will result in you being replaced.

2) As the 2009 competition is starting early in January, training will carry on for the school team players beyond 12 Dec for 5 extra sessions.
Dates : 15 dec (mon), 17 dec (wed), 19 dec (fri), 22 dec (mon) & 29 dec (mon)
Time: 930am -12pm.
Venue: either classroom/school hall/other school (friendly matches)
Attendance is compulsory as there will be two coaches and friendly matches will be played.
Note: captains to take attendance.

3) Friendly matches will be organised for the sec 2 & 3 non-school team members, attendance is highly appreciated as they will be keyed under LEAPs. Those 8 sec 1s & 2 who went for the friendly match with Fuhua Sec have been recorded in the school cockpit.
